T H E   C A T T L E:  Summer is one of the quieter seasons for our herd. On these hot Georgia afternoons, you'll usually find the cattle gathered under the shade trees, staying cool until the temperatures begin to drop. Every day, we check water troughs, monitor the health of the herd, and move cattle to fresh pasture as the grass changes throughout the season. Thanks to plenty of recent rain, our pastures are green, growing, and keeping the cattle happy.

T H E   F A R M: Summer is hay season, and it's one of our favorite times of year. While the grass is growing, we're busy cutting, baling, and storing hay that will feed our cattle through the winter when pastures stop growing. We've also started baling square bales for horse customers and to keep a few back for ourselves just in case we need to feed a little at a time.
